Welcome to firstforfrance.com

This website will help you plan your France vacation, short break holiday in France, a channel-hopping shopping trip, or to organise your own tour de France!

You can find information about all of the French Regions, their departments and many of the towns and villages of France. When you have reached your selected area you can extend your search to find hotels and restaurants in the locality.

It has been said that France offers a lifetime of different holidays, so varied is its scenery: from the sub-tropical French Riviera, to the magnificent French Alps; from the dramatic coastal scenery of Brittany, to the glory of Paris, France has so much to offer its visitors.

Navigating firstforfrance.com

Finding your way around the website is easy, quick and logical. Using the search box at the top of this page, first select the Region of France you want from the menu on Box 1. Then choose from the menu on Box 2 a specific department within the selected French Region. If you don’t want to do that, accept the default “All departments” and you will go direct to the Regional page.

Once you are on a Regional Guide Page you can follow links to all of its departments. You can also use the search buttons to obtain local information about Accommodation, Restaurants, Activities and more. There are also maps to show you the lie of the land.

And when you’re ready to travel to France, visit our Travel Centre - just click on the banner on the left side of the page you are on. From the Centre you can make bookings, and get ideas for some great short breaks.

If you are considering buying a property in France, then take a look at the firstforfrance property sector. It contains details of nearly 3,500 properties for sale all over France. You could be spoiled for choice!

Alsace Short Breaks - For a break away with a difference, consider Alsace. It's one of the liveliest, most charming of French provinces, with a character all of its
own. Steeped in history, Alsace is also a friendly place where there is lots
to do and see. It is also a Region where wine and food lovers can really
enjoy themselves. For those who like to be active, Alsace offers many sports
and recreational opportunities.

In association with The Ferry Travel Club and the Alsace Tourist Board, we
are launching a new collection of short break hotels which provide good
value for money - some are offering 'free' night deals.

To learn more about Alsace, visit the Regional guide page on firstforfrance.
For more information about the hotels, and to make a booking, go to www.alsaceshortbreaks.com

St Tropez - St Tropez is one of the icon resorts of the Cote d'Azure. Launched into super-stardom in the sixties by film director Roger Vadim and the young
Brigitte Bardot, St Tropez still draws the chic and beautiful people. If it
is about to draw you, too, take a look at our new St Tropez Guide written by a 'local'.
